Charts for Questionnaire on a College Magazine

The charts give definitive answers as to what students feel should be included within the magazine. The charts indicate which styles, themes and types of articles would be most popular with students. The charts give accurate figures, for example from the charts i can see that the preferred style of college magazine would be informal.

Quesionnaire for College Magazine

In my questionnaire I have aimed to ask questions that will be most effective in giving me the best idea of the demands students have for what they feel needs to be included in a college magazine to make it a product they would wish to buy and read. Therefore I have asked questions that will indicate what students gravitate towards in aspects such as genre or style of magazine which may be based on their interests  in general and personal taste in media material. By achieving this i can get a better understanding of what articles and features students will be most interested in to read; this in turn may encourage them to buy the magazine regularly.

College Magazine Cover Analysation

As this magazine is a college lifestyle magazine it covers many aspects of college life in that any student may be interested in in order to improve their college experience; therefore I think that this magazine is targeted for both a male and female audience. The cover has many straplines and tags presented in colours which stand out on the page which is effective in making the potential customer read the parts of the cover which may persuade them the most into buying the magazine.

The main focus point is a very important selling point to the magazine, if the person on the cover is well known in the college environment than college students are more likely to be drawn to that cover. The cover is presented with a variety of phrases in different fonts this  adds another dimension to the cover that makes it more aesthetically pleasing.

College Magazine Cover Analysation

In my opinion this magazine is not targeted to a specific gender audience on the cover it gives an indication of articles that feature in the magazine that all college students could find helpful. For example an article focusing on interview mistakes, this article would be helpful to all inexperienced students looking to gain working experience. Overall I think that the magazine cover is effective in it's intended purpose of educating students in how to make their college experience as beneficial as possible.

This magazine cover uses many effective presentational devices in order to relate the customer to the magazine, for example uses 'your' in a phrase makes the cover more personal and relatable to the customer. Another effective presentational device is using a rhetorical question on the article this questions the customer and makes them initially more interested in the following articles relating to phrase on the cover.
